I use to find it really hard to keep track of my paperwork.  I would lose it, shove it and pile it. I had a filing cabinet but I didn’t like using it – I usually “filed” the paperwork in a pile on top of it!

One day I figured out that the reason I was “bad” at paperwork was because I was trying to use a system that didn’t work with my particular personality style, and the way my brain works. My brain doesn’t work in a linear fashion, so why was I trying to force it to? 

My brain is colourful, and noisy, and works intuitively. So that’s how I designed my filing system.
